I hope that you are each having a beautiful summer and enjoying some lovely sunshine. Here in Toronto, this past weekend was the first weekend all summer where rain was not in the forecast. I guess I had become so accustomed to rainy weekends that I didn't notice. After a snow-sparse winter, we definitely needed the rain here. The trees, flowers, and birds have been so happy from the rainfall - I love how many different flower seasons Toronto has in the spring and summer. Now we are in rose, hydrangea, and clematis season.
As some of you may know, I turned 30 this year, and it has been a real turning point in my life.
Since coming to Toronto, I have done a lot of soul searching about what I want in my life and what I want to be. I was forced to truly examine my life shortly before my birthday, leading me to deepen my yoga and meditation practices, giving way to spiritual breakthroughs, leading me to learn more about Ayurvedic diet and how to truly nourish myself. Learning that self-care is not just eating and sleeping! (What a concept!) Changes in old relationships...possibilities for and exploring new relationships. Discarding old and outdated beliefs about singing led to many more possibilities and opportunities to share my musical gifts with the world. Releasing and healing wounds from the past and learning how to be grateful for the lessons, while releasing the toxic emotions tied up with those memories.
Lots of releasing.
I moved to Canada on a huge leap of faith and it took several months for me to finally get my bearings here and truly feel like I was building a life. Now I have more and more reasons to keep building my life and home here: truly embracing Unconditional Love and finding more members of my spiritual family has been such an important part of living in Canada. I am so touched by the support and generosity of people who simply want to help a soul on its journey with no hidden agenda.
Credendo Vides : By Believing, One Sees.
I believe that I have many gifts to share with the world and my new goal is to spread my Light and Love in all that I say, think, and do. It has changed the way that I sing, the way that I interact with others, even the way that I care for my plants. And wouldn't you know it, my Schefflera plant that struggled all winter is producing new shoots prolifically now!
I wish that each of you may see and be grateful for the many blessings in your life on this day and all days. Thank you for contributing to my journey.
With so much love and gratitude,
Daniella
